During this week we learnt about two media techniques we can apply into the classrooms which was Audacity and Movie makers which can be used as hearing or visual aid to students in the classroom.
GOAL: MY GOAL WAS TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE A PODCAST USING AUDACITY AND A SHORT FILM USING WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER OR ANOTHER MOVIE MAKING SOFTWARE.
Tasks:
1. To create a podcast using Audacity
Steps to complete the task
1. Visit Ninite
2. Scroll down page and select the program named 'Audacity' and download the programme to your device.
3. Run the programme
4.Using the buttons highlighted below, I was able to begin recording, pause recording, play recording and stop recording.
5. After recording my podcast I was able to edit, cut and paste, undo and re
do, add music, effects and transitions to our recording. Screenshot below shows the location where these actions can be done.
6.After completing recording as wanted, we can save the podcast by selecting the file tab above and 'export music' to computer in an Mp3 format.

2. To create a short film using a move making software.
Steps to complete the task:
1. I went to the movie making software website of my choice and downloaded the program to my device
2.The program was opened and run
3. The various buttons on the programme was used to add pictures, music, videos, effects and transitions to create film.
4. Appropriate buttons are used to cut and paste, undo and redo and export video when finished.

CHALLENGES
CHALLENGES FACED IN COMPLETING THE TASKS;
1. I faced challenges while using audacity as it was a new programme to me and it was a bit difficult to understand how to edit the recording with effects and adding additional music, however after watching a few videos and exploring on the programme for a bit, I was able to understand how to better use the programme to create my podcasts.
2. I also faced a challenge with creating a short film using a movie maker. My first challenge was getting the movie maker to use for my short film. This was we were instructed to use windows movie maker however while trying to get the programme i was unable to retrieve the full version and wasn't able to extract my video after creating it therefore I had to explore to find another programme where I was able to use Filmora move maker and was able to successfully create my video however it was also a trial version and my challenge with this was to remove the watermark from the video created on the trial version. The challenge has not been overcame as I am still exploring various options to have this watermark removed or another programme to re-create my short film.
USING PODCASTS AND VIDEO-MAKERS IN THE CLASSROOM;
These media learnt during this week would be very helpful and useful to me when I am back in the classroom. This is so because the visual and hearing aid would play a huge part in lessons to ensure I am able to reach out to every type of learning style and ensure that my learners are able to grasps the concepts and lessons being taught.
